Sometimes Simple & Normal Works - No Need For "Lines" Or Super Catchy Interesting Intro's

Okay now I know oftentimes in these posts we tell you about how you need a catchy opener when you message a new women you'd like to speak to on an online dating site. It's no secret men outnumber women, that women have their pick of the field, and that women are bombarded with messages, however sometimes as simple approach is better.

Oftentimes whether on forums or in everyday conversation men will ask women tips on picking up women. Oftentimes it's something like what's the best pickup line or what should I say when I approach a women. I find that overwhelmingly women say the best pickup line is just saying hello, or a man introducing himself to her. Basically most women seem to say the best pickup line is no pickup line at all.

Pickup lines are cheesy and generally aren't very genuine. I think there's a certain type of women who goes for a pickup line or for a guy who uses a pickup line and that women is probably looking for a rico suave type guy. If your not that guy you two probably won't be a good fit anyway.

I am currently dating someone I met on an online dating site, and we were reminicsing last night about our meeting on there. She commented on how my opening e-mail to her was not some overly witty or funny message, I didn't brag about myself or try to seem cool.

I actually don't recall exactly what my opening message to her said, however it was something simple. I believe I introduced myself, commented on a few of her interests or something about her profile and told her I would love to talk to her sometime if she was interested and to feel free to message me back.

She told me she was so surprised that someone actually sent a genuine message and wasn't outright asking for sex or a hookup, or sneakily asking for a hookup ie. hey you wanna come to my place and watch a romcom? lol; that she had to respond to me. It probably didn't hurt that I'm a strapping young lad and there was a level of physical attraction as well but pretty faces or good physiques are a dime a dozen so it's my simple approach that got me the response.

So I guess the advice we give about sending a message that's going to differentiate you from the pack is true. I suppose sometimes that can be a witty message however othertimes just being yourself and genuine can be a breath of fresh air and catch a women's atttention.
