2. Just because you won't do something doesn't mean your partner will stop wanting that thing
Okay, so yes, we generally focus more on topics related directly to online dating, online dating advice and online dating tips more so than relationship advice in general but heard some GREAT advice from Ice T during an interview the other day and thought I would pass it along to you guys.
I was watching some television show on VH1 the other day, don't recall whether it was Ice T and CoCo or maybe a behind the music, regardless, Ice T was commenting on relationships. He said two things I found to be very wise and relevant.
Ice T used a funny example of...if your girlfriend or wife wants you to come into the bedroom in ice skates and spandex you better do it because if you won't someone else will. He also went on to say just because you won't do something doesn't make your partner stop wanting it.
I thought these were two very interesting comments he made and found them to be very true as well. This not only extends to things in the bedroom but also outside the bedroom. If there's something you won't do there's someone else out there that will do it and if that thing is deemed important enough by your partner to leave you because of they will leave you and go find someone who will do it.
On another note I thought it was very interesting how Ice T said "just because you won't do it, doesn't make your partners desire for that thing go away." This is also very true. Let's say your partner wants you two as a couple to do role play in the bedroom. Just because you refuse to do it doesn't mean your partner loses their desire for it.
Anyhow, just thought that was a very interesting take on relationships from what I would have thought was an unlikely source ie Ice T. This is something to keep in mind with your relationship and your partner.
