Two online dating websites I would recommend are OKCupid.Com and PlentyOfFish.Com or POF.Com.
Many people knock free sites as having people who aren't serious or not being as good as pay sites. I suppose that's true to a certain extent, however I have met lots of greatpeople on both those sites. Sure if it's free maybe people are a little less invested in the process, may setup a profile and never use it and things like that but it's a good way to try out online dating and get your feet wet without having to pay.
